identity
Identity: the definition of identity is the fact of being who or what a person or thing is, a close similarity or affinity. I am inspired by this title because it will enable me to look at a variety of photographers and will prompt me to question my identity.
creating mood with lighting
low light images
low light creates a moody effect, making the model look down or straight faced really shows the mood.
high light images
using high light creates a different mood. its more of a happy mood showing all the face so you can get a clear image of the models mood.
direct light images
Using direct light create shadows and can create a sinister mood.

my response to akatre
These photos are my response to akatre's hidden identity. I have used a range of different props and wigs to disguise the persons identity. I have used Akatres work to give me ideas for my response to his work.

david hockney.
David Hockney is the photographer that has inspired my final piece, I like his work because it is different and is unusual. David Hockney is the photographer who came up with the idea of photomontage. He wanted to show varying view points in portraits. this idea appealed to me because I like his work and I wanted to make my own version of it.
my final piece in response to hockney
These are a series of photo's I had taken to put into photo-shop. I asked the model to pull one facial expression and I changed the angle I stood at or the camera I took the photo. I had to take about 10-15 photos to enable my final piece to look the same as David Hockneys as possible.
To create these images I had to take a series of photos from various different angles. I then went onto photo-shop and went to file, automate, photo merge. then I selected collage then clicked on browse to select my photo's that I had previously taken. once I had selected my photos I then pressed ok. this then put all the photos into a collage, I then had to move the photo's about to make a better composition. once I was satisfied with my end product I then merged the collage together. then to edit the photo I went on image adjustments and then selected black and white.
refining my idea
To show more about Identity I thought about the background, the pose and facial expression.
